Influencer-turned-actor Kusha Kapila spoke about her life after divorcing Zoravar Ahluwalia in 2023. She said that she has closed herself off to all kinds of opinions. The actor also said that her mother faced opinions about her personal choices.
Kusha Kapila reflects on her separation from her ex-husband Zoravar, saying, “Society is unkind to women”. The actor will next be seen in the Disney+ Hotstar series, ‘Life Hil Gayi’.
Kusha said Fever FM“That society is unkind to women anyway. My mom had to go through that as well. I completely closed myself off to any opinions or anything. I didn’t have the bandwidth for that. I’m sure my mom can speak very clearly about that.”
He added, “She had to talk to relatives and society. She has her own life. She goes to the temple or the park, she has her own social community where she has to face opinions and that’s how the world works. This is the reality, this is the truth of the place we live in and the times we live in. As much as there is progress, and we expect it to happen, some things remain more or less the same.”
He added, “The other side of it is that you can’t choose what’s going to happen to you online, especially when you’ve opened up your world and life to so many people. You can change the way you share your life, moving forward, understanding the consequences of sharing your private life with people, but I don’t think you have the right to pick and choose. It’s unkind, it’s unfair, that’s it. Assumptions will be made, people will speak on your behalf and then you’re like, ‘What do I explain? These are so many topics.’ At some point you have to step back. People around you should know your truth.”
Talking about the work front, Kusha Kapila was last seen in ‘Dehati Ladke’, ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’ and ‘Thank You for Coming’.
