Kudumbasthan manages solid grip; 1.10 crores in 6 days in home state
Released on January 24, the Tamil-language comedy drama Kudumbasthan refused to slow down at the ticket window anytime. Rajeshwar Kalisami director added another Rs 1.10 crore in the 6th day of his release. With such a strong trend, the film earned an amount of Rs 11.25 crore in its home state.
Opened with Rs 1.35 crore, Kudumbasthan wrapped its first weekend for Rs 7.55 crore. After this it saw a stronghold and collected Rs 1.40 crore on the first Monday, even more than its early day collection. On 5 days, it added a mark of Rs 10 crore to the Kollywood box office, adding another 1.20 crore rupees.
Based on its current trends, the film will continue to attract the audience for a few weeks, at least until Vidamuirchi comes. These collections are testaments for its magnificent word-mouth and quality of material. The small budget film has already emerged as a superhit at the box office.
This is the second success for Tamil cinema this year after the long -release of Vishal and Sundar C’s long -time, Madda Gaza Raja’s blockbuster success. Interestingly, both films are comedy entertainers.
