Kubera is better in Telugu than the Tamil version
The first week figure could have been very high, if it performed well in the Tamil version because the film has a Tamil star as the main lead. In fact, Kubera became one of Dhanush’s worst performing films in her home turf.
Crime drama performed better in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. While the film grossed Rs 21.75 crore in Nizam, Rs 5.75 crore in seeded and Rs 21 crore in Andhra Pradesh, it could be gross of only Rs 17 crore in Tamil Nadu.
All eyes are now on its box office trend in the second weekend. If the film manages to view significant jumps, it will be a healthy final number of hit.
