Kubera Box Office Day 2: Dhanush’s crime-thriller shows development, crosses Rs 30 crore

The ‘Kubera’ starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna is getting stronger at the box office. According to industry tracking website Sacnilk, the Telugu thriller has earned more than Rs 30 crore in India.
After earning Rs 14.7 crore on his early day, ‘Kubera’ saw a further increase at day 2, collected Rs 16 crore and it increased to Rs 30.7 crore. The film improved its Tamil version, recording strong occupants in areas. The Telugu version led the route with an estimated Rs 22.7 crore, while the Tamil version contributed around Rs 9 crore.
‘Kubera’ is also performing better than Dhanush’s previous film, ‘Ryan’, which collected Rs 27 crore in two days. However, it is still behind Balakrishna’s ‘Daku Maharaj’ with Ajit Kumar’s ‘Vidamuyurchi’ and ‘Good Bad Bads’.
The film is also getting competition from Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitare Zameen Paar’, which was released in theaters later this week. The film has also denied Rs 30 crore at the box office.
‘Kubera’ revolves around Dev (Dhanush), a beggar who meets a former CBI officer, Deepak Tej (Nagarjuna), in a life-long encounter. He then meets a woman trapped in Mumbai from Sameera (Rashmika), and together she navigates her circumstances. Jim Sarbh plays the role of a corrupt CEO of a rich corporation.

Directed by Sekhar Kammula, ‘Kubera’ is built by Sunil Narang, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao and Ajay Kaikala under the Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos works. ‘Kubera’ has made a positive review for its unique story and strong performances. With its steady speed, the film is expected to perform well in the coming days.
