Kriti Sanon said on Delhi’s air quality, something needs to be done to stop it
Amid continued hazardous air quality in Delhi, actress Kriti Sanon called for immediate action and said the situation is worsening and could potentially become critical if measures are not implemented.

Delhi-born actress Kriti Sanon on November 22 expressed strong concern over the continuous increase in air pollution in the national capital. Speaking at a press conference for her upcoming film ‘Tere Ishq Mein’, Sanon highlighted the deteriorating air quality of the city and called for immediate intervention from the authorities. Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi Remained in ‘very poor’ category at 359 on Saturday morning, while some areas like Noida recorded AQI levels above 430, indicating ‘severe’ pollution. Sanon’s comments reflect growing public unease as layers of toxic smoke continue to spread over the area.
During the press event, Kriti Sanon said, “I don’t think saying anything will help. It (pollution) is getting worse and worse. I’m from Delhi, and I know what it used to be, and it’s getting worse. Something needs to be done to stop it; otherwise, it will get to the point where we won’t even be able to see each other standing next to us,” while responding to questions about the city’s current environmental condition. Their statements reflected the visible deterioration in air quality, which has prompted authorities to strengthen emergency pollution response measures.

As she said, Kriti Sanon’s comments have added a personal dimension to the current crisis The city’s air pollution is getting “worse and worse”.He stressed the urgent need for authorities and the public to collaborate on effective solutions. Senan outlined the potential consequences of inaction, warning, “If adequate measures are not taken to tackle pollution, it will reach a point where we will not be able to see each other standing next to us.”
Further he also talked about working with Dhanush. “I think Dhanush is an incredible actor. I have always been a fan of his talent and his art. I believe he has a very strong hold on his art. He is very subtle; he has also directed many films, brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the scenes and how they will be presented on screen,” she said.
‘Tere Ishq Mein’ is produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, while the screenplay is by Sharma and Neeraj Yadav. The music is composed by AR Rahman, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The film will be released in both Hindi and Tamil and Rai has described it as a spiritual sequel to his first work ‘Raanjhanaa’.
