The much awaited trailer was released on Saturday at a Grand Audio Launch event at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. The event was Star-Stasted, in which she was showed by many notable personalities including Bollywood actor Aamir Khan.
‘Coolie’ follows a former gold smuggler, Dev (played by Rajinikanth). He aims to recover his previous belief by reviving his old gang. He does this with the technique of theft hidden in vintage golden watches, a unique plot point that adds conspiracy to the film.
Directed by Lokesh Kangraj, the film is produced under the banner of Sun Pictures. The film claims music by Anirudh Ravichender, who had previously collaborated with Rajinikanth on the 2023 film ‘Jailor’, in other projects.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given a certificate to ‘Coulie’. It is Rajinikanth’s A-Retted film in three decades. The film is ready to confront the cinemas on 14 August with Hrithik Roshan, Junior NTR and Kiara Advani, YRF’s ‘War 2’.
