Neha Dhupia lost 23 kilos post pregnancy in one year and reveals how she did it

According to her interview with HT City, the actress lost 23 kgs post motherhood last year. She revealed that both her children Mehr Dhupia Bedi and Gurik Dhupia Bedi were breastfed for a year each after their birth. At that time, her focus was not on losing weight but on breastfeeding her children in their early years, which led to an increased appetite.

Neha Dhupia’s massive weight loss has caught the attention of many. The 43-year-old actress had gained 23 to 25 kgs during her pregnancy, she first lost weight after the birth of her daughter Mehr as it was lockdown at that time and she managed to maximize her workouts and maintain a calorie deficit. But soon after getting pregnant again with her son Gurik, she gained weight again. “It was a crazy period of four years in which I lost and gained weight again and again. However, when I was pregnant, I was not worried about how I would look after delivery”, she said in the interview.

But how did she lose weight in just twelve months? Neha told HT City that she keeps a check on her eating habits and follows a balanced exercise routine. The actress said that she doesn’t eat too many calories as it is not possible for her as a working mother as she needs energy. But she loves to run and occasionally hits the gym.

On the diet front, Nehaa revealed that she follows a balanced diet and cuts down on sugar, fried food and gluten in her daily intake. She further adds that not practising intermittent fasting is a deliberate move on her part because of the lifestyle she follows. The actress said that what worked best for her was having an early dinner at 7 pm with her kids and a healthy breakfast at 11 am with her husband.
