Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 winner Karan Veer Mehra: I have a crush on Rohit Shetty
Actor Karan Veer Mehra won Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 by defeating Krishna Shroff and Gashmeer Mahajani. In an exclusive conversation with India Today Digital, the actor talks about his journey of overcoming fear and his admiration for host Rohit Shetty.

After an exciting journey of over three months, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 has found its winner in the form of Karan Veer Mehra. The actor defeated Krishna Shroff and Gashmeer Mahajani to win the grand trophy, a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh and a car.
Other finalists of Rohit Shetty show Abhishek Kumar and Shalin Bhanot were there. Speaking exclusively to India Today Digital after his win, the actor opened up about his journey and how he overcame his fear. He also shared how he developed a big “man crush” on the host and hoped to be like him.
Talking about his journey, the actor said, “It was beautiful, fantastic, fantastic or any other positive word you want to say. When I was flying for the shoot I was very confident of doing well. However, when I reached Romania, I was surprised to see how well prepared the other contestants were, that’s when I got nervous because everyone wanted to win in that show. I think each one of them was equal to me. Was competitive.”

Talking about host Rohit Shetty, the actor said, “Whatever he said, whatever he did or didn’t do, it all stayed with me. I have a huge crush on Rohit, sir. I want to be like him I have the same attitude. I have a lot of respect for him.”
Discussing his journey in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, Karan Veer shared that he managed to overcome his fear of dogs by doing a stunt with them. “I used to be really scared of them, but I think I’ve gotten over that. Now, I know how to handle them when they’re angry or happy. After talking to their handlers, I now know how to handle dogs. I feel comfortable with it. However, even after the show, I am still afraid of electric current, I am still wary of touching anything,” he said, laughing.

The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor further discussed about his learnings from the reality show. “I feel that every stunt was like living a life. Every time I felt that I was being pulled down and I managed to resist it, I won that stunt. Similarly, in life, if you feel disappointed If you are in it, you need to persevere and never give up. Then you will be victorious.”
The season’s winner also shared how the experience helped him rediscover himself. He said that, considering the difficulties he was facing in life, people started tagging him as a bad person. “When you keep hearing such things, you also start believing them. You become hard on yourself. However, after the show I realized that I am not as bad a person as I thought. And this It’s a great feeling.”
On a final note, we asked him about his possible entry in Bigg Boss 18. To this he replied smilingly, “Let rumors remain rumours. Why should all this be spread?”
