Alia Bhatt shared an article from a publication encouraging Karan Johar to support Vasan Bala. In response, Vasan re-shared it on his Instagram story with the caption, “He patted my back, kujj na hove. Yeh sab ho jaave chahe kuch bhi ho (Nothing will happen, they are with me. Even if anything happens, everything will be fine) @karanjohar @aliaabhatt.”

Recently, Divya Khosla Kumar had accused Alia Bhatt and producer Karan Johar of inflating the box office figures of Jigra. In what seems like a subtle response, Karan shared a cryptic message on his Instagram Story, saying, “The best speech given to fools is silence.” Later Divya said this in an interview Hindustan Times, Questioning Karan’s choice of words“Is it fair to call a woman stupid for pointing out immoral conduct?”. he asked. He further said, ‘If this can happen to me, what about those who are new to the industry? There is no king here and I refuse to be treated like a subject.
Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in the lead roles. It was released in theaters on 11 October.
