KJO dedicates Brahmastra National Award to Ayan Mukerji: I am here just to clap
Brahmastra producer Karan Johar was present with Ayan Mukherjee at the 70th National Film Awards in Delhi. The film received honors in three major categories.

Brahmastra won big at the 70th National Awards in Delhi on Tuesday, October 8. The film’s producer Karan Johar was present at the prestigious ceremony and dedicated the win to the film’s director Ayan Mukherjee.
Brahmastra won awards in the categories – Arijit Singh won the Best Male Playback Singer award for the track Kesariya, Best Film in AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects Gaming and Comic) and Best VFX Film. When asked about the big honour, KJO, as he is popularly called, mentioned that Ayan and his team had everything to do with the film and its amazing VFX.
He told the media, “I can’t take any credit for the special effects, the VFX component. Brahmastra is completely the brainchild of Ayan Mukherjee. This is his baby and his vision. He has created this entire world. I am here Just to clap loudly.” , Support them and of course, accept the honor very politely, but, that’s really it.”
The awards were announced by the jury consisting of Feature Film Jury Chairman Rahul Rawail, Non-Feature Film Jury Chairman Neela Madhab Panda and Best Writing on Cinema Jury Chairman Gangadhar Mudlair.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, while Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna Akkineni play other important roles. The film is conceived as a three-part series. Ayaan is currently working on War 2, after which it is believed that he will start work on Brahmastra 2.
