Kiran Rao’s film ‘Laapata Ladies’ has received a lot of appreciation from both the audience and critics and now it will be screened in the Supreme Court of India. Kiran, who was present at the event, had an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in and expressed her happiness seeing the film getting so much love.

Sharing her feelings, the director said, “I am very happy and honoured to be here, I am sad that I missed a lot of time which I could have spent here, but I am looking forward to watching the court proceedings and whatever I will get a chance to see.”

According to a notice, Chief Justice of India will also be presentand judges will be present with their spouses. The film will be screened after court hours from 4:15 pm to 6:20 pm, followed by a conversation with Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao.

Made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, the film is based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Sneha Desai, while additional dialogues are written by Divyanidhi Sharma.
