The announcement video of actor Rajinikanth’s new film was released on February 21, 2026. The film marks her reunion with Kamal Haasan as the two were last seen together in the 1979 fantasy film. Alauddinum Albhutha Vilakkum.
The first announcement video features a fun banter between director Nelson, composer Anirudh Ravichander, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. In the video, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are seen speculating about their attire. As soon as their look was revealed, both the actors were seen twinning in retro look.

Kamal Haasan shared the announcement video on his X handle and wrote, “A special reunion with my friend.”

Red Giant Movies had earlier shared a statement on their

Time is 12:07 PM. #RedGiant17…(sic).” The production company captioned the post, “All set to be revealed in a few hours…”
Just a day before the announcement promo, a retro-poster of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan was also shared. Nelson previously worked with Rajinikanth on Jailer and is currently working on jailer 2. The music of the film is expected to be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
