Kesari Veer Movie Review: Kesari Veer, despite his grand scale and star cast, fails to give a compelling historical drama. The poor execution of the film and the weak CGI reduces its possible effects.

There are many moments in ‘Kesari Veer’ when you will expect Vicky Kaushal to jump with the cry of his ‘Har Har Mahadev’. While the highest -grossing film of 2025 ‘Chhawa’, its flaws, scale, direction and demonstrations kept the audience busy. Unfortunately, the latest release of Sunil Shetty and Sorag Pancholi, Kesari Veer, fails in all departments, making it a painful watch.

We all know that currently cinema has a bounce of historical films with religious undertakings, and it follows the drama suit directed by Rajkumar Dhiman. The first 30 minutes of the film set a tone for an imminent fight between Tughlaq and Hindu rulers. Enter Hamirji Gohil (Pancholi), a rebel prince and the savior of the oppressed. During one of his detective missions, he faces Rajal (newcomer Akananka Sharma), and after some romantic moments of slow speed, the two fall in love.

Sunil Shetty as Vegadji, his adopted father, is a Shiva devotee, and Shiva La is also found to carry La Bahubali. We are soon introduced to Zafar Khan (Vivek Oberoi), who are the vicious and frenzy ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, who kills without any inflammation. The character is half Khilji, half Aurangzeb, but thick, unknown beard made only the conscience repaired. But like the other rulers of the state, he enjoys a grand life, having alcohol and food with beautiful women, while hating Kafirs,

The story of warriors fighting to protect the Somnath temple is not painted on the first screen. While the manufacturers had a promising concept, they failed in execution. This plot is forced to subplots – romance, family drama and religious devotion – all are filled in a story. The CGI is inferior, almost laughter, and the performances are rejected. None of the songs leave a mark, and even the sequences of the fight styled it with high -speed movements, lack of impact. The previous few scenes look exactly like a pirated, low-rage version of ‘Chhawa’, without its effects. The editing department could easily cut half of the film, mostly in the first half, for the presented material.

For performance, Come said, better. Suniel Shetty is only one that brings some gravity to the screen, while Vivek Oberoi is ruined in a poorly written role. Sooz Pancholi made a channel to Salman Khan from Veer, and Akanaksha made his way through the film. Kiran Kumar, although, is a pleasant surprise as the ruler of Delhi, but it is heartbreaking to see how the manufacturers insulted experienced Aruna Irani, who was cast in a minuscule part.

Where ‘Kesari Veer’ really disappoints, he is in his inhumanity. Suraj almost face Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogues – ‘Harr’s Jette Vale to Babigar‘ And ‘An admi’s head is two jagudaDialogues are much intelligent compared to other historical films, and delivery is disgusting. The way actors walk and speak, they seem very contemporary, are mainly small people, which makes them look like Sobo children in school sports.

By the end of Kesari Veer, you ironically start feeling bad for the team, which has gone through such a strong time in making this film. We want them to have a vision. And the only person you want to be really angry is to choose to watch this film. (Okay, we did this to you guys.)
