R Madhavan and Ananya Pandey have also received Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ Good Friday, a review since its release on 18 April. The film depicted Akshay as Seisha Nair, a courageous Indian lawyer who challenged the British Empire in court. Looking at the positive word of the mouth, the film has earned Rs 34 crore in four days.

While the film does not fall into a large -scale uncertain category like ‘Sikander’, it was still successful in a respectable opening of Rs 7.75 crore. Thanks to the strong word-mouth, it showed an increase in the weekend, but the number of Mondays only reflects its power at the box office.

Day-wise India net collection:

Day 1 (1 Friday) Rs 7.75 crore

Day 2 (first Saturday) Rs 9.75 crore

Day 3 (1 Sunday) 12 crores

Day 4 (first Monday) Rs 4.59 crore

The film is also facing difficult competition from Sunny Deol’s ‘Jat’. Given the craze among fans for the thriller, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ needs to get more number a week to maintain itself at the box office.

‘Kesari Chapter 2’ is produced by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film after the Jalianwala Bagh massacre on 13 April 1919 is more than the fictional story of a person’s courage against the British Empire. It should be noted that the court incident shown in the film never happened.
