Actress Keerthy Suresh has raised concerns about the impact of artificial intelligence on privacy after discovering distorted images of her being circulated on social media. The actress described the emotional impact of seeing her photos manipulated by AI technology, saying that this has become a growing issue for both celebrities and the public. Their comments highlight growing unease about the misuse of AI and its consequences for personal image and consent.
Speaking about her experience at a press conference in Chennai, Keerthy Suresh said, “AI has become a big issue. It has become a boon and a curse. Humans invented the technology but we are losing control. On social media, I am stunned to see my picture in a suggestive outfit and I wonder if I have ever worn it because it is real. Recently, the outfit I wore for a movie puja was spoiled from a different angle. The way it was changed. For a second, I was thinking, and then I realized I didn’t pose in it. That’s definitely disturbing.”

The altered image made her question whether she had actually posed in that manner, then realized that it had been manipulated. This stunned her, as she emphasized the realistic nature of these AI-generated images.
His comments reflect broader fears about AI’s growing abilities to produce convincing but fabricated media. He pointed out that such technologies are becoming increasingly difficult to control, creating challenges for those whose images are used without consent.
Keerthy Suresh said that this issue is not limited to the film industry but can affect anyone who comes across social media and digital platforms.
Actor Andrea Jeremiah also addressed the risks associated with AI, saying that the technology presents challenges beyond the entertainment sphere. “Not just actors, even for the public, AI is becoming a problem. AI should work for us, not the other way around,” he said.
The actors’ comments come amid a debate over the ethical use of AI, with many calling for safeguards to protect personal identity online.
