If you also want to get your ears pierced like Ananya Pandey, then take these precautions first.

1. Consult a dermatologist
Before you pluck up the courage to get your ears pierced, always book an appointment with a dermatologist. They will inform you about any underlying skin conditions, allergies or potential infections that may pose health risks or complications.
2. Select a professional
Ear piercing should be done by a professional, not an amateur. Find out a little about the piercing studio you plan to visit. Make sure they have trained staff who are proficient in this skill. Do not get piercing done at home as it can lead to infection.
3. Clean thoroughly
Wash your hands with mild soap and warm water before touching your ear or ear piercing. This will prevent harmful bacteria from entering the area. Wash the pierced area with a gentle antibacterial soap during the healing process. Wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
4. Keep the area moisturized
Often you may feel itching and dryness in the ears after ear piercing. In such cases, use a petroleum-based product or a medically approved moisturizer to reduce the effects after piercing.
5. Do not swim
It is strictly prohibited to take a pool bath or go on a beach vacation after getting your ear pierced. Stay away from swimming pools or other water bodies to avoid complications.
