In the latest episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16’, host Amitabh Bachchan smartly silenced a contestant who called unmarried women a ‘burden’ for the family. The contestant was trying to explain how she coped after losing her job during Covid when he made the misogynistic remark.

This contestant named Krishna Selukar told that despite having an engineering degree, he had to lose his job. He told Big B, “If I say that an unmarried girl is a burden on the family, sir, then after a certain age, an unemployed boy is just as much a burden. (If I say that an unmarried woman is a burden to her family, then an unemployed son is also a burden to his family after a certain limit).”

Bachchan, who is known for spreading the message of gender equality and women empowerment on ‘KBC’, gave a clever reply to the man. The Bollywood megastar highlighted how a woman is the pride of a family and any assumption to the contrary should be completely discouraged. “Let me tell you one thing.
