In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 16, Amitabh Bachchan talked about his marriage with Jaya Bachchan. He welcomed contestant Shravani Jena from Odisha. Shravani works as a Block Social Security Officer under the Government of Odisha, focusing on the welfare of minorities and persons with disabilities.

The contestant revealed that she had been working towards securing a government job for six years with the support of her father in order to become independent. Now she lives away from her parents and manages her own life.

Shravani, who is getting married in November, told how her family is busy with preparations. The Piku actor curiously asked about his fiancée and whether it was love or an arranged marriage. Shravani jokingly replied, “Sir, this is ‘mummy-forces arranged marriage’.” I graduated in 2017, and since then, my mother would bring a new proposal for my marriage every six months, but I kept rejecting it because I wanted to secure a job first and be financially independent. Last year after I got the job, she decided to do some big drama, and one day announced that if I didn’t get married, she would die, so I had no choice but to agree, in February 2024 ! The marriage has been fixed.”
