Kate Middleton tried hard to hold back tears while attending Remembrance Day. The Princess of Wales attended her first major royal event following the completion of her chemotherapy treatments in September.
Accompanied by King Charles, Prince William and Princess Anne, Middleton walked to the Royal Albert Hall, where the ceremony was held to honor the sacrifices of Army soldiers. As soon as the princess saw this incident, she became emotional.
In a video captured by The Sun, members of the royal family were seen paying their respects to army personnel who lost their lives in World War II. As the public paid their respects with a standing ovation, the Princess of Wales was caught crying at the ceremony.
As for Middleton, she’s had a tough year battling illnesses like cancer while juggling the weight of royal duties and public appearances while being a mother of three.
According to royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith, Princess Kate is an essential member of the British royal family. In their conversation with People Magazine, the royal source claimed, “She’s obviously an important part of the royal family, symbolically and in reality as really important as the future queen.” He further said, ‘It was good that people saw him. “You can’t say she’s back…but she’s coming back.”

The event was clearly important to the future Queen, as it was her first significant royal engagement since she announced the completion of her chemotherapy sessions via a video shared on Instagram on September 9.
At the same time, during the event, Prince William was consoling his wife by holding Middleton in his arms.
Smith further said in her conversation with the media portal, “He was putting his arm around her and being very protective. It ties in with what he said about it being a ‘brutal’ year.” The royal biographer added, “I think you can only imagine that she’s had quite a tough time of things for her this year.”
Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales announced her cancer diagnosis in March, and since then she has been completely focused on her health. As far as public appearances were concerned, he had limited it to going out once or twice a month.
Middleton made her first royal appearance since the cancer revelation in June for the Trooping of the Color ceremony and later to hand out trophies at the Wimbledon men’s final match.
