Karuppu starring Suriya in the lead role is estimated to be released in theaters this year, unveiling an action-pack teaser. As the commercial recreational is expected to be a divine fantasy film, do you know that it was once reported to be an enterprise with Trisha Krishnan?
Karuppu was initially as led to Trisha Krishnan?
According to an old report by Valai Pichu, director RJ Balaji (RJB) initially wanted to make the film primarily with Trisha Krishnan. The film was allegedly titled Masani Amman, in which the Leo actress was depicted in a similar role as Nayantara in Mukuthi Amman.
In addition, the script was reportedly modified later, which included elements that are suitable for a Suriya-starrer film. However, this is a report for now and has not been confirmed by manufacturers.
Karuppu teaser
Suria is celebrating her 50th birthday on 23 July 2025, making it a milestone in the actor’s personal life. Celebrating Retro Star’s birthday, the manufacturers of Karuppu unveiled a teaser.
Action -rich teaser displayed Suria as a divine unit, which takes the form of a lawyer to help a person’s petition. Taking opponents, Karuppu showed a power-pack performance by Suria, including elements of fantasy and amazement.

Mainly with Suriya, the film incorporates Trisha Krishnan as a co-star, which marks his reunion after several years. Apart from him, the film consists of Natty, Indran, Anaga Maya Ravi, Swasika, Sasivada and actors in many other lead roles.
The RJB will help the project, with music tracks and scores Sai Abhunkkar.
Suriya’s work in front
Suriya was last seen in the lead role for the film Retro directed by Karthik Subaraj. The romantic actionr starring Pooja Hegde in the lead role is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
With Karuppu in the lineup, the actor has been postponed to appear next with Suriya 46 titled Suriya 46 directed by Lucky Baskhar Fame Venky Ataluri.
The upcoming enterprise is called a family recreational, in which Mamita Baiju plays an important role.
