Kartik Aaryan opened up about this phase of his career where he has changed people’s perception by being a part of some great films. Kartik spoke about this and more in an exclusive conversation with ETimes…

kartik aryan Preparations are underway for the release ofChandu Champion‘. His physical transformation in the first poster of the film shocked everyone. The actor has also been making some unique choices in the last few years – whether it is ‘Freddy,story of true love‘ Or ‘blast‘. However, Karthik once said that he Commercial films Test it first and then use it.In a conversation with ETimes, Kartik reflected on his choice and how things changed for him.
“I think it is a conscious decision and I feel I want to do a lot more in my films and shock, surprise the audience. I am trying different things but I am not looking at it that way. I am going for the right scripts which I feel are unique or have some resonance. That is why when I first heard the script of ‘Chandu Champion’, I felt I wanted to see it on screen,” says the actor.
Ask him at what point did he feel that the perception towards him changed as he found himself in a situation where he was offered these roles. Kartik explains, “I believe in expression. I express myself in everything.
Be it ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ or ‘Lukka Chuppi’, or Freddy’, ‘Dhamaka’, ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ and now this. I have been fortunate to get such opportunities and different roles, but there is a lot of hard work behind it, even in getting such roles. Maybe, I am expressing a lot and that is why these things are happening in my life.
‘Chandu Champion’ is a film I always wanted to do – you can’t put it in one category of sports drama or biopic. It is a story of a human triumph. It is beautiful to play and portray the character of Murlikant Petkar ji.”

Kartik also thanks his fans on social media who support him and in return he is constantly trying to get their validation. He adds, “I am lucky to have these fans and this beautiful relationship with them. I never thought something like this would happen in my life. The way fans support my films and want them to succeed is unbelievable.

I am just trying to get their validation again and again. I want all my films to have that shock or surprise value whenever they watch me.”
‘Chandu Champion’ directed by Kabir Khan will release on June 14.
