After directing higher-budget films like ‘Retro’, director Karthik Subaraj has revealed his plans to direct an Indie film, a low budget project, featuring new actors.

Director Karthik Subaraj, who is currently promoting his recent release ‘Retro’ starring Suria and Pooja Hegde, has confirmed that his next project could be an independent film. In an interview, the director of ‘Petta’ further revealed that he was eager to make an Indie film, and it is the convenience of new actors.
Speaking to The Hollywood reporter, he said, “After Jigarthanda Double X”, I wanted to make an indie, just make it and send it to festivals. Perhaps after a year, it will be released in theaters. I have a long script ready for a long time. But then ‘Retro’. Now I think I should do so. “
Talking about his reasons for making an indie film, he said, “Retro has also been told in my way, but it comes with the responsibility of a big budget and a big star. That Indie film does not require known actors or stars. It is a small budget story that I wanted to make for a long time,” he said.
