“Ab toh mera haath chod do, itni bhi sundar nahi hun main!” If you know the context of this dialogue, then you are definitely a big fan of Kareena Kapoor Khan. Bebo said this line in her famous 2007 film Jab We Met, which also starred Shahid Kapoor alongside her. Kareena played the role of Geet in the Imtiaz Ali directorial and her performance in the film is appreciated even today. The actress has completed 25 years in the Hindi film industry, so she wants her sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan to also watch Jab We Met.
During a special event organised for the Kareena Kapoor Khan Film Festival, Kareena Kapoor was asked if her elder son Taimur has seen any of her films. The actress said that she should show her films to her kids at the festival being organised in her honour.
When asked to know the audience’s opinion to answer this question, Kareena said that fans will choose ‘Jab We Met’. “‘Omkara’ might be a bit shocking for them because of their father (Saif Ali Khan) playing such a role. But maybe ‘Jab We Met’. They haven’t started watching films yet.”
According to the portal, Kareena’s son Taimur has previously watched Bhool Bhulaiyaa with his father Saif. For those who don’t know, Taimur is seven years old and Jeh is three years old.
During the same event, Kareena Kapoor said that she does not want to play the same kind of characters in her films. Referring to her character in Jab We Met, Kareena said that she cannot play Geet’s character for the rest of her life. The Jab We Met star was called Geet for a decade of her career and was offered poo-type roles in films.
The Buckingham Murders actress said she has chosen diverse roles in her career and that is why a film festival has honoured Bebo for her legacy.
