Karan Johar suffers from ‘caption fatigue’ as he tries to write something on sunset while sharing his swimming photo; Says ‘It doesn’t make any sense’

Karan Johar is one such celebrity who uses his social media extensively. Be it promoting his projects, taking a dig at his teammates, making statements about life, and leaving cryptic notes, he does it all. The filmmaker, who has 17.1 million followers on Instagram, is also loved for his witty and funny captions. But recently he admitted that he was suffering from ‘caption fatigue’ when he was unable to write anything sensible about a sunset.

A few hours ago, Karan Johar dropped a picture on his Instagram stories. In the picture they can be seen enjoying the sunset inside the infinity pool. The director of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani started writing something to describe the photo. But he interjected, admitting that he was suffering from caption fatigue. KJo expressed, “The sunset that rises… it doesn’t mean anything, I know but caption fatigue is a real thing…”

After taking over the big screen, he is all set to follow in the footsteps of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and make his OTT debut with a big budget web series for Netflix. A source close to the development exclusively tells Pinkvilla, “After collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Heeramandi, this Karan Johar directorial is the next marquee project in Netflix’s repertoire. Karan will be the showrunner of this untitled web series. The script has been finalized and the aim is to take it on floors in the first quarter of 2025.”

Sharing that Karan is excited to make his debut in the digital world, the insider said, “The web series is now starting its casting phase and the idea is to bring together a group of famous actors. Being Karan Johar’s show, this web series is being considered as the most ambitious upcoming project of Netflix. It will be shot by 2025 and streamed in 2026.

This year, KJo produced films like Yoddha, Jigra and Bad News along with web shows like Call Me Bay, Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, The Tribe and others.
