Director-producer Karan Johar praised the acting of actor Ranveer Singh Dhurandhar: RevengeCalled it his “best work of his career”. He praised director Aditya Dhar’s storytelling, while also noting the “testosterone, hyper alpha energy and deep-rooted patriotism”.
Karan praised the film for its “humanization and layered backstory” of the antagonist in his Instagram post. He wrote, “The discussion about testosterone, hyper-alpha energy and deep-rooted patriotism will continue, but #Dhurandhar2 Jaskirat’s heart-breaking story is much more than the heart-breaking sacrifices he made for our motherland. “Even the opponent’s impeccable craft humanizes and layered backgrounds.”

Praising Aditya’s direction and the film’s soundscape, Karan said, “The soundscape and all-round cinematic prowess proves the talent and directorial command of Aditya Dhar, what an astonishing and excellent filmmaker he is, he not only raises the bar of the mainstream but also makes a new director, yeh new director hai!!!
