Actor Kapil Sharma’s critically acclaimed film Zweigato, directed by Nandita Das, is now available to watch online. The film, which was released in theaters on March 17, 2023, was well received by critics, but did not become a commercial hit.

Zweigato is now streaming on Prime Video. Kapil announced the digital premiere of the film on social media on Thursday, October 24. “It’s been a year since #Zwigato touched hearts. Set in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Zweigato tells the story of Manas, a delivery boy played by Kapil Sharma. After losing his steady job as a factory supervisor during the COVID-19 pandemic, he is struggling to make ends meet as a food delivery worker.

The film follows their daily lives, which is filled with ratings, punishments, and the quest for incentives to survive financially. His wife, played by Shahana Goswami, helps rich clients by doing odd jobs like giving massages.

Although the film was critically acclaimed, it did not attract a large audience in theaters and grossed only Rs 1.50 crore in its first seven days. However, Kapil was not worried about the film’s box office performance before its release.

Speaking to Rediff.com, Kapil Sharma said, “I recently told my wife (Ginni Chatrath), if this film doesn’t do, I won’t lose anything. But if it succeeds and is a hit, then I’ll get a lot.” With this people will say ‘Kapil has done a good job.’ It is important that more and more people watch the film.”
