Kapil Sharma has officially confirmed the second season of his show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, leaving fans excited. On Independence Day, Kapil shared a photo that shows a bouquet and glimpses of the show’s cast, along with this exciting announcement.

He captioned the photo, “The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 is coming. Theme of Netflix series The Great India.”

The news comes after months of speculation. Netflix India had hinted at a second season in June itself. The streaming giant shared a video on social media, showcasing memorable moments from the first season and also revealed that the show will be back “sooner than you think”. The video ended with the message: “Get ready for more entertainment as Season 2 of The Great Indian Kapil Show will be back in just a few months! Enjoy Season 1 to the fullest while you wait for the new season!”

Due to the negative response, it was also rumoured that the show has been removed from the platform prematurely. However, the team later clarified that the show was originally planned for only 13 episodes, and a new season will be launched soon.

The Great Indian Kapil Show It also stars Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh and Rajiv Thakur. Superstar Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor with his mother Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Sahni, Kartik Aaryan, Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra among others were guests on the show in the first season.
