Rish Shetty-Starr Kantara: Chapter 1 hit the silver screen on October 2, 2025. Directed by Shetty, the film Kantara (2022) and the second installment in the franchise are prequel. As the film has continued its success in theaters, the film has been praised by Rocking Star Yash and director Sandeep Reddy Wanga.
Yash and Sandeep Reddy leave high praise for Vanga Kantara: Chapter 1
Taking his official social media handle, Yash said Kantara: Chapter 1 new benchmark for Kannada and Indian cinema. KGF Star also appreciated the film’s cast and crew, including special appreciation for Rish Shetty, Rukmini Vasant and Gulshan Devaiya.
The actor wrote, “Kantara chapter 1: New benchmark for Kannada and Indian cinema. Rish Shetty, your determination, flexibility, and sheer devotion are clear in every frame. As a writer, director and actor, your vision turns into a really immersive experience on the screen.”

On the other hand, Sandeep Reddy Vanga Rishha was equally enthusiastic about the Risha Shetty Flick and wrote, “Kantara Chapter 1 is a true work. Indian cinema has never seen anything like this before. It is a cinematic thunder, raw, divine, and unwavering. Lokeath.”
