Plot
Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us back to centuries from the first installment. A crazy king of Bhangra wishes to set his eyes. However, when he orders the execution of an old fisherman, precious spices such as black pepper, cinnamon, and their bags fall over.
As the Mad King discovers for the source, he realizes that it is from the land where the tribe of Kanta lives in peace, with nature and divine harmoniously. As he enters the secluded forest and wreakes havoc on the tribal people, Panjuri Daiva and Guliga Daiva appear and end their lives.
His son, Vijayendra, trauma from his father’s death, later becomes king and follows the path of religion. Years later, they have a son and a daughter, while a mysterious child comes out of a holy well among the Kanta people.
As King Vijayendra’s son Kulasekara is crowned the king’s crown, he has also inherited his grandfather’s madness. The rest of the film focuses on rivalry between the royal family and tribal people, which leads to divine intervention at the right time to protect the innocents.
Good
At a time when many sequels or prequel fail to live up to the origin, Kantara: Chapter 1 acts as an ideal predecessor for the learning of Kantara and its surroundings. As we enter a world in the past in the prescribed centuries, we are introduced to the story of the Bhangra dynasty and the Kanta tribe.
The film reaches the depths in the story of action and adventure, balances it with elements of divinity. It is not only a ride to grab a cash grab on the success of the first film, but a story that adds more depth to the story and manages to increase it ten times.
Rishab Shetty also shines as a director and writer, with impressive performance by the lead artists. The filmmaker clearly understands the elements required to prepare such a story, and the story is breathtaking to experience their treatment.
Descriptive and dialogue in Kannada and Tulu add authenticity and prosperity to the film, making it a cinematic experience contrary to any other. Execution and storytelling audiences provide a layered experience, which is a film for the cinemas in the true sense.
In addition to the use of divinity, Kantara: Chapter 1 also provides a comment on social difference, slavery and oppression.
From a technical point of view, Kanta: Chapter 1 is fantastic in almost every aspect. Despite the slight failures in the production design of a particular view, the film is technically strong and of course one of the best in recent times.
B. Ajnesh mixes the intimacy with a musical track depth created by Lokeath. Even the use of background scores, drums, and sir, mainly operated, add intensity and emotional weight, often sits on the edge of their seat.
Action choreography must be appreciated, especially for the introduction and climax war, which reminds of the Battle of Ba*Tords episodes of the game of throne. In addition, close use of cinematography, editing, and visual effects contributes to the immersive experience of the film.
bad
Although Kantara: Chapter 1 is a great dramatic experience, some parts stand out as weak, especially in the first half of the film. Dependence on minor characters for comic relief felt to deal with the place in this film and outside the place.
The first half also has minor pessing issues, but the film is quickly cured, which provides an intensive experience from the pre-interval segment to the Epilogue.
Display
Like the first installment, Rishab Shetty, provides a stellar performance. Their depiction of the barme, the central figure that goes to the dives, is both esoteric and powerful.
What came in the form of a sweet surprise was Rukmini Vasant’s amazing performance as Kanakavati. She is a perfectly symbol of character and performs a deeply assured.
Gulshan Devaiya impressed his explosive performance as Mad King, while veteran Malayalam actor Jayaram shines in the cinematic moments of the film.

Decision
Kantara: Chapter 1 is an ideal addition to the Kanta franchise, which expands the learning beyond the discovery of the first film. With a luxurious, epic -like tone, the film has moments that leave a speech.
