Kantara Chapter 1: How much did Rishab Shetty earn through Advance Booking?
Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has collected Rs 11 crore (without block seats) in advance booking before the release of October 2. The film’s strong regional appeal highlights the increasing interest in historical narratives from coastal Karnataka.

The advance booking of actor-director Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kanta: Chapter 1’ is close to a mark of Rs 20 crore. The supernatural action-drama has so far earned more than Rs 18 crore pre-relief.
Kantara Chapter 1 sells more than 57,000 tickets
‘Kantara Chapter 1’ collected Rs 11.46 crore (without block seats) for 11,800 shows, as reported SacnilkThe report further states that with block seats, the number is Rs 18.95 crore. Block seats are usually reserved for final-minute booking, publicity or studio schemes. The film has already sold more than 4 lakh tickets for its early days across India.
According to the report, most of the ticket booking is from the Kannada-Back area, with 2,14,933 tickets sold for 1,780 shows. While the original film achieved the status of Panth, Prequel has struggled to create a similar pace in the Hindi belt. So far, advance booking has been generated over Rs 1.9 crore, about 57,000 tickets have been sold for 6,393 shows in the region.
Kantara: Chapter 1 KGF2, behind the Chhawa
The report states that ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ also resonates with Tamil and Telugu audiences, selling 39,270 and 33,492 tickets respectively. The Malayalam version is exceptionally well performing, with 53,957 tickets sold in just 1,236 shows. However, its advance sales are still lower than other blockbuster films. For example, the Kannada version of ‘KGF 2’ alone sold Rs 17.95 crore (without block seats) on its early day. Similarly, ‘Chhawa’, one of the top-Kamai films of this year, recorded an advance sales of Rs 13.79 crore (without block seats).
