Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Day 2: Rishab Shetty’s film entered Rs 100 crore
‘Kantara Chapter 1’ set a new Pan-India benchmark, which crossed the world for about 90 crores and crossed Rs 106 crore in a pure collection within just two days.
‘Kantara Chapter 1,’, one of the most anticipated films of the year, hit cinemas worldwide on October 2, 2025, with a Pan-India in five languages, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. Within just two days, the film received a huge response from the audience. The film has now successfully entered a 100 crore club.
Combining folklore, nature and mysterious stories, it not only conquered fans, but also influenced critics, especially awakening a festive mood in theaters in Karnataka.
According to Sacnilk, the film recorded an unprecedented opening. On day 1, India’s net collection was Rs 61.85 crore in languages, of which Kannada contributed Rs 19.6 crore, Telugu Rs 13 crore, Hindi Rs 18.5 crore, Tamil Rs 5.5 crore and Malayalam Rs 5.25 crore.
What started as a regional story has now created a nationwide sensation, which surprises both fans and the industry. On day 2 (Friday), the film did not lose its talent and earned Rs 45 crore as per initial estimates. This total tally makes Rs 106 crore
