A Bengaluru court has reportedly reserved its order on the bail plea of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa till October 14. According to Times Now, the order on the bail plea of the main accused in the Renuka Swamy murder case and his associate Pavitra Gowda will be issued on the same day. , Dashan’s senior lawyer CV Nagesh and special public prosecutor (SPP) Prasanna Kumar, representing the prosecution, completed their arguments and counter arguments in the case.
According to the report, Darshan’s lawyer alleged that the police have made eyewitnesses stand in the case of the fan’s murder. He said that the tower positions and IP addresses of the accused can be tampered with and they have no sanctity as the tower location covers a radius of 25 miles.
The lawyer said, “I am not arguing for the acquittal of accused Darshan. I am arguing for getting him bail in the case.”
He said the investigation into the case was flawed and questionable and the court’s conclusion should not be based on the condition of the tower.
He also claimed that Darshan was unaware of Renuka Swamy until June 5, when Pavitra Gowda stopped talking to him as he was on a distant trip with his wife.
“When Pavitra Gowda was not talking to Darshan, how could he know about Renuka Swamy?” According to Times Now, Darshan’s lawyer said.
On the other hand, SPP Prasanna Kumar, while submitting the counter regarding the delay in recording the statement, said that 76-79 witnesses worked in the shed, and their mobile tower locations and call details along with the mobile tower locations and calls of the accused were available.
