Kanguva box office day 4: Suriya-starrer heads towards Rs 150 crore worldwide
Suriya’s latest film Kanguva is now heading towards earning Rs 150 crore worldwide. The film, directed by Siruthai Siva, had a slow opening at the box office.
Tamil actor Suriya’s recent release Kanguva had a slow start at the box office. However, the film has collected around Rs 140 crore at the worldwide box office in four days. The fantasy action drama is now all set to enter the Rs 150 crore club in a day or two. The film, directed by Siva, received a lukewarm response from audiences and critics when it released in theaters on November 14.
Studio Green, one of the producers of Kanguva, officially announced that the film grossed Rs 127.64 crore worldwide in three days. Although the collections have not been as per expectations, Kanguva is still performing well in theatres. Amidst the mixed buzz, all eyes are now on the film’s performance on weekdays.
It is estimated that Kanguva has earned around Rs 10.50 crore nett in India on its fourth day (17 November) at the box office. This is slightly more than the film’s second and third day collections at the domestic box office.
The four-day total collection of Kanguva at the domestic box office now stands at Rs 53.85 crore. The Tamil version recorded an occupancy of 22.07 percent in India on 17 November.

On the day of release, November 14, fans and critics criticized Kangwa for its haphazard script and loud music. Actress Jyotika defended Kanguva and wrote that she was surprised by the negative reviews from the media and some fraternities.
In a longer note, he wrote, “Definitely the first 1/2 hour doesn’t work and the sound is crackling! Most Indian films have flaws, so that’s fair, especially in a film like this that involves massive experimentation. are done.” !No, it’s just the first half hour of the three full hours.”

Jyothika’s Instagram post supporting her actor-husband Suriya’s Kanguva also received mixed reactions. While a section of people asked him to take the feedback as constructive criticism, others supported him for expressing their opinion in favor of the film.
