As expected, Kanguva is struggling at the box office. There was a significant decline in the collection on Friday and then hardly any increase was seen on Saturday. The film saw a decline in collections across India except Tamil Nadu, which saw minimal growth. Karnataka, which usually sees a big surge on Saturdays, was in normal condition yesterday. The collections of the Hindi dubbed version also saw a decline yesterday.
Surya starrer this film made Rs. Earned Rs. 10.50 crore on Saturday, i.e. its total earning in three days is Rs. 46.75 crores at the Indian box office. The four-day extended weekend of the film is estimated to be around Rs. 56-57 crores.

The film had an underwhelming opening, but then the negative reception from the audience sealed its fate. Suriya is going through a very bad phase, his last successful theatrical release was Singham 2 in 2013. Kanguva was his return to the big screen after a long time of five years and had high expectations considering the scale of the film and the director’s previous film being a major blockbuster in Tamil Nadu. Unfortunately, the wait for the ordeal to end has now become longer as Canguva joins Turkey’s long list.
