Kalyani further said, “At the same time, I do not like it on my shoulders, because it is on my shoulders, because my team takes away from the incredible work that my team has done-men and women equally,” shared the credit with their co-stars, directors and the rest of the crews who worked on ‘Loka Chapter 1: Chandra’.
Talking about how she feels about being the first Indian female superhero, she said, “Superheroes have always inspired us to dream big, and if Chandra BE Being India’s first female superhero, even gives confidence to a girl, that women can be powerful in their own way, it is a responsibility that I am proud to carry.”
Directed by Dominic Arun, ‘Loca Chapter 1: Chandra’ released on August 28 for positive reviews in theaters. The superhero film, which introduces the ‘Loca Brahmand’, is produced by Duller Salman’s Waerr Films and Kalyani Priyadarshan is in the form of Kalyani Priyadarshan, Chandra.
The film also stars Nahnan and Sandy in important roles. Mammooty, Tovino Thomas and Duller Salman also appear briefly in cameo roles, which establish their appearance in the Loca universe.

The film has crossed 200 crores at the box office worldwide and is still working well. Sivakartheikeyan’s ‘Madarashi’, Anushka Shetty’s ‘Ghan’, Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Baghi 4’, and Hollywood Horror Biggi ‘The Conjuring: Last Rights’ did not affect Loca’s Chikni Pal at the box office.
Due to no significant Malayalam release in the coming weeks, ‘Loca Chapter 1: Chandra’ will capitalize on a large window at the box office, set up its places at a mark of Rs 300 crore.
