‘Kalki 2898 AD’ director Nag Ashwin reacted to actor Arshad Warsi calling Prabhas a ‘joker’ for his performance in his film. It so happened that a fan posted a clip from Prabhas’ film and mentioned that this particular scene is even less than “the entire Bollywood”. Ashwin responded to the social media user and also mentioned that Arshad “should have chosen his words better”.

Nag Ashwin wrote against the Bollywood vs South tussle and asked his fans to “not go back” and look at the bigger picture. He also broke his silence on Arshad Warsi’s ‘joker’ comment about Prabhas’ role in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.

Ashwin wrote on X, “Let’s not back down..no more north-south or bollywood vs tolly..our eyes are on the bigger picture..united indian film industry..Arshad sahab should have chosen his words better..but it’s ok..sending toys for Buji’s kids..I will work hard so will tweet that as per Pehle Din Pehla Show (first day first show) Prabhas was the best ever in K2.”

Replying to the filmmaker, another ex-user accused Arshad of spreading hate. To this, Ashwin again replied, “There’s already enough hate in the world bro… we can’t try to increase it more… I know Prabhas garu will feel the same.”

The controversy started when Arshad Warsi shared his views on a podcast and expressed his dissatisfaction with ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. However, he also said that Amitabh Bachchan’s performance as Ashwatthama is its only good quality.

Arshad said, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he doing this… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson there.” What have you done to him, friend? I don’t understand why you do this (What have you made him into? I don’t understand why they say such things).”

Soon after, Arshad’s comments about Prabhas turned into a controversy and many celebs and fans condemned Arshad for spreading hatred.
