Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and other stars praised Prabhas’ latest release ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film released in theatres on June 27. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in lead roles.

Varun Dhawan praised the film’s groundbreaking visual effects and cinematography. He wrote, “Kalki is what we had only ever dreamt of and from Indian cinema!! Every frame is amazing. What you guys have done is nothing short of magic and madness. Thank you for giving us this experience in #Kalki2898AD (sic).”

Vyjayanthi Movies responded to the actor’s post, writing, “We are overwhelmed with your love for Kalki 2898AD. Thank you Varun Dhawan ji for your heartfelt words #EpicblockbusterKalki (sic).”

Arjun Kapoor shared a long note on his Instagram story and praised director Nag Ashwin’s cinematic vision. Congratulating the entire team, the actor wrote, “What a cinematic vision Nag Ashwin. I bow down to your visuals on this epic sweeping saga that spans generations. There is only one Amitabh Bachchan and he is awe-inspiring as Ashwathama. Actor Prabhas remains the lovable ‘rebel’ as always, we have always loved him.”

Badminton player PV Sindhu also joined the chorus and praised Deepika Padukone for her amazing performance. “Deepika Padukone is really amazing.”

Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan was “mind blown” after watching ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. He shared on X, “#Kalki2898AD = (mind blown emoji) Wow! (sic).”

Above all, audiences praised the 81-year-old actor’s performance. Janani K of India Today.in wrote in her review of the film, “Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwathama is the biggest strength of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. His screen presence and mannerisms, as well as his intense baritone voice, make us believe that he is the real Ashwathama.”

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ released in theatres on June 27 and has so far grossed over Rs 500 crore.
