‘Kalki 2898 AD’ box office on day 7: Prabhas’ epic sci-fi film earns Rs 700 crore
Director Nag Ashwin’s ambitious science-fiction film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is leaving no stone unturned at the box office. The makers have announced that the Prabhas starrer has earned Rs 700 crore in its first week in theatres.
Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin’s recently released film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is making a splash at the box office. Producer Vaijayanti Movies has announced that the sci-fi film has earned Rs 700 crore worldwide and is still going strong. In India, the film crossed the Rs 390 crore mark at the end of its first week in theatres and is likely to touch the Rs 400 crore mark today, Thursday, July 4. At this rate, Rs 1,000 crore is not far away for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
On July 3, the official X page of Vyjayanthi Movies shared a special poster with the film’s earnings. The film has grossed over Rs 700 crore worldwide in just seven days and continues its impressive run. The poster shows a pregnant Sumati (played by Deepika Padukone) walking through fire while holding her baby bump.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ performed quite well at the box office in India on Wednesday, July 3. SaconilcThe film is estimated to have grossed Rs 23.2 crore, which is around Rs 5 crore less than its 6th day collection. However, trade analysts have predicted that the film will surely pick up the pace as it approaches its second weekend.
As per the data, the Telugu and Hindi versions grossed Rs 9.5 crore and Rs 11.5 crore nett respectively in India on July 4.
The seven-day total earnings of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ now stands at Rs 393.4 crore in India. The Telugu and Hindi versions grossed Rs 202.8 crore and Rs 152.5 crore in the country in seven days.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is written and directed by Nag Ashwin. This sci-fi film is also based on important events from the Indian epic Mahabharata. Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan play the lead roles. Rajendra Prasad, Shobhana, Anna Ben, Saswata Chatterjee, Pasupathi and Disha Patani among others have acted in supporting roles.
Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film has been made on a whopping budget of Rs 600 crore. Music composer Santosh Narayanan, editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and cinematographer Djordje Stojiljkovic are part of the technical crew.
