Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani and Kamal Haasan, saw its first notable drop on Day 12 as it collected around Rs 5.50-5.75 crore nett in Hindi. This is still a very encouraging collection for a film that has already done a significant business of its own and is essentially performing like a multiplex-driven film. Kalki 2898 AD’s total is a little over Rs 210 crore and should be targeting over Rs 250 crore.

Kalki 2898 AD has been affected due to heavy rains in many parts of the country. The Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan starrer is likely to stabilize on Tuesday. The performance of new releases Sarfira and Hindustani 2 will decide whether Kalki 2898 AD will become the highest grossing Indian film of 2024 at the worldwide box office. Currently, it is the highest grossing film of 2024 at the Indian box office, but the numbers are much lower than Fighter internationally. So far, the film has grossed around $5 million.
Kalki 2898 AD crosses Rs 800 crore mark worldwide on its 12th ticketing day
Kalki 2898 AD will join the Rs 500 crore nett India club (all versions) on weekdays in the second week. Its worldwide collections have finally crossed the Rs 800 crore mark. It is aiming for a total collection of around Rs 900-950 crore. Though it was initially thought that the sci-fi drama will have trouble recovering its cost, its excellent performance worldwide has ensured that it will recover the cost and give some good returns to the producers. The second part is expected to surpass the first part.

Kalki’s story begins with the end of the Mahabharata’s Kurukshetra War in 2898 BC, which marks the beginning of Kali Yuga in 3102 BC. After the events of the Mahabharata, Ashwatthama is tasked by Lord Krishna to protect his final incarnation when the time is right.
