Kalamkaval India Box Office Second Week: Mammootty’s film continues its success, earns Rs 38.25 crore in 10 days

Kalamkaval starring Mammootty in the lead is performing tremendously at the box office, with the film receiving positive reports, especially for the superstar’s performance. Estimated to earn Rs 31.5 crore in India in its opening week, the film continues to be in a strong position, earning a total of Rs 38.25 crore in India within 10 days.

The film grossed an estimated Rs 2 crore from India on its eighth day and this number continued to rise in the following days. On day 9 and 10, the crime action thriller earned Rs 2.25 crore and Rs 2.5 crore respectively.

Apart from its impressive performance at domestic centres, the film’s success can also be attributed to overseas markets. Talking about the overall collection, the film has earned a total of Rs 75.50 crore worldwide.

For those unfamiliar, Kalamkaval is a crime action thriller starring Mammootty and Vinayakan in the lead roles. Debutant Jitin K. The film, directed by Jose, tells the story of a group of police officers investigating a conflict between two communities in a village near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border.

However, as they delve deeper into the investigation and discover its origins, they uncover a far more sinister force pulling at the stars from the shadows. As the investigation intensifies, the film turns into an entertaining cat-and-mouse race.

Along with Mammootty as the main antagonist, the film also stars Gibin Gopinath, Gayatri Arun, Rajisha Vijayan, Shruti Ramachandran and many others in lead roles.
