Last year, Saif Ali Khan opened up about his ouster from ‘Bekhudi’ on ‘Koffee With Karan’. When Karan Johar asked why director Rahul Rawail removed him from the film, Saif said, “Actually, Rahul Rawail had first signed Kamal Sadanah. And then replaced him with me, probably thinking that this kind of casting is a bit low. I didn’t want to blame him. Maybe he ousted me from the film because he didn’t like my attitude. And he said, ‘You are quite good. People will think it is because you are not good. But it is because I want you to be more committed and more professional.’ I think I was, but he didn’t feel that way.”
Many stars including Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Sunny Deol and Yash Chopra were present at the muhurat of ‘Bekhudi’. The first clap of the film was given by actress Amrita Singh, which marks the beginning of her relationship with Saif Ali Khan. They got married in 1991, but separated in 2004.
