K-Idol IU sues 180 people, including former classmate, for online harassment
South Korean actor and singer IU has sued 180 people, including some of her former classmates, for online harassment.

Popular Korean singer and actor IU and her agency, EDAM Entertainment, have sued at least 180 people for online harassment, according to local media reports.
EDAM Entertainment reportedly teamed up with a law firm to gather evidence against the criminals.
Online harassment is a broad term the agency is using to describe people who have not only bullied the artist, but threatened her about her life, disregarded her privacy and sexually harassed her, including This also includes the spread of deepfake content related to it.
The agency further said, “Among them, one person is believed to be a former middle school classmate of IU who, despite ongoing legal action, continues to harass her. For those using foreign IP addresses or living abroad, we have sought cooperation from the relevant authorities.”
“We have selected only the most serious cases of illegal activity and are pursuing criminal charges without leniency,” EDAM said.
