According to the $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit, the Jane the Virgin actor was “entered” into the space when Lively walked the red carpet with her husband Ryan Reynolds. When the lead actors of the film did not click pictures together, it led to rumors of a fight between the co-stars. Baldoni alleged that they were confined to a temporary holding area “to avoid the opportunity for interaction with Lively or her guests.”
According to the lawsuit, despite living together in the basement, the fact that it was one of the biggest nights of Baldoni’s career was, ironically, not known to anyone. Lively’s attorney criticized Baldoni’s lawsuit, calling it “another chapter in the story of his abusers.” The statement claimed the actor’s actions were what experts call “Darvo. Denial. Attack. Reverse victimization.”
Earlier, the Gossip Girl alum had filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of sexually harassing her and launching an alleged defamation campaign to destroy her reputation. However, the actor has denied all the allegations.
