It has been almost three decades because ‘Jurassic Park’ first scared us ripping the water in kitchen raptors and a glass. And now, after a string of sequel which sometimes stuck on its own apathy, is surprised here: the film is actually one of the best sequels in the franchise.
After the uneven area of the previous ‘Jurassic World’ entries, the ‘rebirth’ takes back to its roots, whether it is exhausy jungle, creeping suspense or leaning in horrific creatures, we have come to expect with all the bright blockbuster sheen. Directed by Gareth Edwards, with a script of David COP, this installment knows what he wants to be – fun, scary, indifferent, and just ridiculous in the right amount.
And the leadership of the charge? Scarlett Johansson, which finally gets a dino moment. For fans, he is stealing every scene to think about what Johansson was doing in a Jurassic film. In a film where most people are running for their lives, she is long standing, playing quite literally knights, while others are busy or taking a nap.
Mahrshala Ali also gives more weight to the role, as he deserves it. Always reliable, he brings gravitus to the screen, but it seems that the script forgets what to do with him through half the path.
Ruart Mitra plays the villain with a cartoonish nature that is strangely entertaining. On the other hand, Jonathan Bailey, despite his talent, is given a character that moists energy. As a brooding scientific-type, he tries to channel emotional depth, but realizes that the guest of the party constantly reminds the dangers of fun. A solid actor misused.
The film does not waste time. We have fallen into a mysterious island where mutant dinosaurs roam, and things go south rapidly. This time the one who stands outside is a horror tone. There is a real effort to bring there that crawling dreaded, long silence, foggy forests, sudden roar. One can argue that this is the most suspected entry since the original.

Dinosaur? They look stunning. From classics to new, terrible hybrids, the VFX team deserves a permanent ovation. Seeing a distortus rex stalk hunting in a smokey corridor or a quetzalcotlus swoops anywhere, it makes it clear that this franchise still knows how to stop a heart.
Blind, the film is a cure. Cinematography is the best way to the Vibe of a ’90s, the wide shots of the Jungle Vista, and the clever nodes channel for the visual language of Spielberg. Seeing it in 3D only increases immersion.
Now, is the story airtight? Not necessarily Convenient plots are twist, characters that disappear when not useful now, and in logic have a large gap to park a ‘Brachious’. A random family is immersed in the plot and somehow avoids danger with Utopian fate. And “simultaneously” there are lots of science. But somehow, it does not ruin that experience.
What ‘rebirth’ clicks is its energy and honesty. Unlike the previous entries, who tried to mix emotionality with the spectacle, it goes all-in on suspense, action and retro adventure. The film is not trying to create a grand point; It just wants to entertain you. And in that, it is completely successful.
For a long time fans, it seems like a reward. There are obvious tributes to the origin, from the signs of music to the visual callback, but they are cleverly used, not only as indifference. And for new audiences? It is a kind of dino film that can turn someone into a fan overnight.
