Junior artist dies by drowning on Rishab Shetty’s Kanta 2 sets
Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kanta: Chapter 1’ has faced many consecutive problems during its production. Now, a junior artist from Kerala died on Tuesday afternoon due to drowning on the set of the much awaited film.

The produced of ‘Kanta: Chapter 1’, the much awaited sequel of Rish Shetty, suddenly stopped after the death of a junior artist. MF Kapil, an ambitious talent in Kerala, drowned in the Kolur Souparnika River on Tuesday afternoon. He allegedly went to swim in the river after a break of lunch when he was swept away by a strong stream.
Local authorities started an immediate discovery and rescue operation with the fire department. Sadly, Kapil’s body was recovered from the river later that evening. A case has been registered at Kallur police station, and the circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation. The accident has put a pole on the shooting of the film.
The incident is another shock for the ‘Kanta: Chapter 1’ team, which is struggling with many challenges in recent months. Earlier, a bus transport junior artists were overturned to Kollur. However, there was no injury by the team. Additionally, a large -scale set built on high cost was destroyed due to unexpected air and rain damage. The crew came under investigation from the Forest Department to allege the natural habitat during filming.
The upcoming film is being produced on the Pan-India scale and is set for a dramatic release in October 2025. The rounds of rounds were that the films were delayed due to all the difficulties faced by the producers. However, the team shared a cute video re -releasing the date of release as 2 October, rejecting the rumors about a postponement.
