Jujo George is undoubtedly one of the most prominent actors of Malayalam cinema. The actor made headlines for his clear statements, he has now spoken against the manufacturers of Churn, alleging that he had not yet received his remuneration.
Jujee George does not get remuneration for Churuli
In an interview with The New Indian Express, Jujo George said, “I did not get a single rupee for acting in Churi.” Adding more information, the actor-director expressed how Cussing in the film created a burden for him.
The actor alleged that the producers inspired him to speak the word curse in Churuli, asserting that it would be sent only for the awards. According to the interview, he said, “I was told that the explain version would only be sent for awards. However, he proceeded and released that version.”
“He should have contacted me and informed the matter as an Act of etiquette before the OTT release. A case was also filed against me due to the dishonest language used in the film before the OTT release.”
About Churuli
For those vague people, Churuli is a science-fi mystery horror film directed by Lizo Jose Pellicari. The film tells the story of two undercover police officers who travel to a village to investigate a suspected criminal.
However, as soon as they enter the village, change the terrible, the people living there, and the events that reveal them, get stuck inside the village, question everything around them.
Churuli is based on the short story “Kaligaminarile Kuttavalikal” in the book “Mulleranjanam”. The story written by Vinoy Thomas was premiered on 11 February 2021 at the International Film Festival in Kerala.
After its release, the film was mixed for positive reviews, especially in Malayalam to draw attention to the massive use of curse words.
Churuli included Vinay Fort and Kemban Vinod Jose in the lead roles, which have a lot of actors Juzo George, Saubin Shahir, Sajin Gopu, Lukman Awaran and a lot in the lead roles. On a side note, the film, which is currently streaming on Soniliv, is said to have been shot in only 19 days.
On the work front of Jujee George, Irta actor was last seen in an important role for Kamal Haasan starrer Thug Life. Mani Ratnam’s direction gangster Actioner, Simbu and Trisha present in supporting roles, recently met with negative reviews on its release.
