As the RRR of SS Rajamouli celebrates its third anniversary, Junior NTR, who gave a career-defined performance in the epic film, reflected his journey and preparation, inspiring him to play the role of Komaram Bhima.

The actor, widely considered as one of the largest stars in India, said, “Whatever I have done in my career so far, he has prepared me for this project.”

“I do not have a process or recipe that I have talked about acting, when I have followed it. No actor can follow a fixed method for that case. Rajamouli has always challenged me as a director. It is my fourth support with him. After working with him, I realized that an actor has to be innocent to understand what his director wants to do.

Director SS Rajamouli also spoke highly about the dedication of Junior NTR for the role. Considering his long -time cooperation, he commented, “With NTR, it felt as if I was shooting with not one but two tigers.”*

The film also starred Ram Charan as Alliuri Sitarama Raju, a revolutionary leader who fought against British rule.

The RRR, which took a global box office from the storm, was not only a commercial success, but also a cultural event. Released in 2022, RRR broke the record, earning its early days to earn Rs 223 crore worldwide – at that time for an Indian film.

It gained international recognition when its song Natu Natu won an Academy Award, making it the first and only Indian feature film to achieve this milestone.
