Josh Gad met Jeff Goldblum in the most unusual way; Learn how the Frozen star recalls her ‘Welcome to Hollywood moment’

Josh Gad also had days when he was just another guy in Los Angeles. Well, he still loved being around Hollywood stars, especially Jeff Goldblum. The voice-over artist for Frozen recently recalled the experience of meeting Gollum and the way she met him.

While speaking to Kelly Ripa on a recent episode of Let’s Talk off camera, Josh Gad recalled that a college girlfriend invited him over to her boyfriend’s place.

“He lived in a real place called Mount Olympus. It’s not just where the Greek gods live, but also the Hollywood gods,” the actor said. “Legendary God Land, a Kingdom.”

The Wedding Ringer actor then mentioned that he arrived at the location looking at a giant gate that seemed straight out of Jurassic Park. Soon, as she knocked on the door, her friend and her boyfriend opened the door, wearing matching bathing suits. Furthermore, she was shocked to learn that her boyfriend turned out to be Jeff Goldblum.

Speaking on the show, Gad added, “It was a surreal, welcome-to-Hollywood moment.”

The three then sat facing each other in “a kind of triangular seating arrangement” and played a game of the Meissner technique. Here the Independence Day actor said words which Gad simply repeated.

“I’m pretty sure her boyfriend wasn’t hanging out, but was very close to her,” the Beauty and the Beast actor recalled.

For those who don’t know, the above game is actually an acting technique developed by Sanford Meisner in the mid-20th century.

Gad further said that the Earth Girls Are Easy actor had asked her to audit for one of his acting classes in Los Angeles.

Gad then went on to have a successful acting career, even earning a Tony Award nomination for his role in The Book of Mormon. Jeff Goldblum was most recently seen in the musical Wicked.
