Josh Brolin recalls upsetting James Cameron after turning down one of Avatar’s key roles. The Marvel star was approached by the filmmaker to star in the sequel to the Avatar film, which was slated to release in 2022 under the title Avatar: The Way of Water.

While on a recent episode of In Depth with Graham Bensinger, the Avengers: End Game actor shared that after he declined to be a part of the film, Cameron was angry.

Brolin further revealed in a conversation with the show’s host, “I heard he was angry.”

He continued, “I understand it, because when you have something in mind and you have a status and power… you tend to make people feel really grateful that you can offer them that.” Are.”

However, Brolin said that he did not approach the director of Titanic because he was not sure what mindset the filmmaker would be in. The actor further added, “I don’t know if it’s the same with him because I don’t know him well.” “But it was based on (the project). It wasn’t based on that.”

In a previous interview with Esquire, the actor had shared that he has no regrets about leaving the hit film and had also revealed that the director was taking his name at several places. “James Cameron is calling me this name and that name,” Brolin said in his 2017 interview.

He added, “Whatever. If James Cameron came up to me and said, ‘Hey, man, why did you say that?’ I’ll go, ‘Because it happened.'”
