Jonita Gandhi feels honored debut for Dua Lipa: gifts her earrings
Singer Jonita Gandhi recently opened up about performing at the opening ceremony of Dua Lipa’s Mumbai concert. Gandhi said he gifted a pair of jhumkas to the singer.

On Saturday, Mumbai was serenaded with the tunes of Dua Lipa as the international music star performed her hit numbers. But before she took the stage, Indo-Canadian singer Jonita Gandhi enthralled the audience with her set. In an exclusive conversation with India Today, the ‘What Jhumka’ singer talks about her experience and love for Dua Lipa. Jonita also shared how she gifted Dua a pair of jhumkas to commemorate her visit to India.
Sharing that the offer to open for the Albanian singer and songwriter was a ‘dream come true’, Jonita called it an incredible honour, “Preparing for a show like this is always an exciting and challenging process. Jonita said it was a memorable moment to represent India’s vibrant music scene while sharing the stage with a global icon. He said it was also a moment for him to connect with a broader audience.
Jonita Gandhi also mentioned how she has been a fan of Dua Lipa, saying that her music is infectious, “New Rules is one of my all-time favorites – I became a fan of their sound as soon as I heard it, ” he said. When they were asked to choose their favorite dua song.
Talking about meeting the international artiste, the ‘Soni Soni’ singer said, “It was great. She’s incredibly down-to-earth and humble.
